Many of you will remember and will have taken part in the 2005 50th Anniversary Around Britain Tour organized by the MGA Register of the MG Car Club UK. This time the tour will be covering the whole of the length of Great Britain in a very scenic 10 days, taking in a wide variety of the landscape of Great Britain; and definitely no Motorways! If you have always aspired to make this unique road trip, then the time is now right.

The event will start at Lands End in Cornwall on September 6th, 2015 and will end at John O'Groats, Scotland on September 17th, 2015. Participants will be delighted to hear that the organizers have secured a special arrangement to have the old Rest and Be Thankful hill-climb route in Argyl, Scotland, available to us.

The organizers have been overwhelmed with entries from Australia - no less than 15 MGAs are being shipped halfway around the world especially for this event. Already, 26 cars are confirmed to complete the entire trip from Land End to John O’Groats. With others who have registered for part of the trip, there are so far nearly 60 MGAs participating in the event.

John O'GroatsPlanning of the route and overnight hotels is well advanced and as soon as arrangements for reserved hotels are finalized for the whole trip full details will be emailed out. The organizers will bring you regular updates as things progress. As with the 2005 event, participants will be able to complete the full journey or join and leave at points along the way. If you would like to register an early interest in this event please contact the organizers as this will help with planning hotel arrangements. Also, your email address will be added to a contact list and those included will automatically receive updates when there is more to report.
