I think this is a great trip and should be a lot of fun. I admire the gutsiness of those participating. I hope everyone is safe throughout the excursion and the cars perform perfectly. I think it would be cool if a group of MGA owners met this group at the US border in Arizona when they come across. Does anyone know if such a thing is already being planned? It would be fun to drive with them for a few miles in recognition of their progression in the trip. I live in Southern California and would be willing to drive to Arizona to meet the group if others were planning on being there. Perhaps there are other members from California and Arizona that would also be interested in meeting the Aussies as they arrive at the US boarder and give them a big welcome.

We agree with Clifford that MG Club members should meet up with the Pan American group. However, it is difficult to plan this when their route through the US is not decided at this time.
The problem is that many of the roads they want to drive on - Grand Canyon, Pike's Peak, Yellowstone - could be covered in snow in April. For this reason, they are going to decide what route to take once they get to the Grand Canyon.
It might be that they head west to the California coast and drive up the 101 to Vancouver, BC.
We will try to update the NAMGAR web site as soon as we get information from the Aussie group. Meanwhile, you can follow their adventures through South and Central America through their web site/blogs.

Unfortunately, the MGA blew a head gasket on January 19th. The team replaced it in about 3 hours, and the car is motoring well again. Check out the blogs on
