Excitement is in the air! Can you feel it? GT-38 is getting closer, folks are already booking their rooms, and sending in their Registration Forms knowing that GT-38 participants will find something that interests them in the growing list of activities on the event website. If you haven't already, now is the time to make your plans to join NAMGAR in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, NC from June 10-14, 2013!

GT-38 Registration will be open starting Sunday evening, June 9th, and for those that come early we have added an "Early Bird Special" drive on Monday. It will be an informal drive to Pisgah Inn on the Parkway for lunch from the menu and maybe on to Brevard to visit a brewery or a toy store.

Tuesday will find us going to the Biltmore Estate. We get there early before the estate is even open to the public to get our cars positioned together with the mansion as the backdrop to be photographed by a professional photographer. Take a look at the registration form to pick which photo package you would like to order. After the photo shoot, we get to enjoy breakfast, selfguided tours of the house, gardens, and Antler Hill Village. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so plan to join us on Tuesday at the Biltmore.

Wednesday is what everyone is waiting for with the car show on the green at the Crowne Plaza. Participants can download a Registration Form at www.gt38-namgar. org or make a copy of it from this issue of MGA! Some good news for owners of MGA 1500s and 1600s; after seeing the large participation in these classes the NAMGAR Board made the decision to split them into wire and non-wire wheels on a trial basis for GT-38. If your car falls into these classes, there is a space on the Registration Form on the website and in this issue of the magazine to note if it has wire wheels. If you used an earlier Registration Form, please notify GT- 38 Registrar, Jim Brown or NAMGAR Vice Chairman, Carol Shamonsky, or download the Registration Form's second page from the website to indicate which class applies to your MGA.

Thursday night is the Awards banquet and Friday's farewell continental breakfast gets everyone started on a safe journey home. BUT WAIT, there are many more things to do at GT-38 than can fit in an article, but read on!

Please visit the GT-38 web site often; it is being constantly updated with full descriptions and links to all of the activities that are being planned, like the Paint & Mingle Session on Wednesday afternoon where you, regardless of artistic ability, will be able to make and take home a wonderful memento of Asheville. Also in the works is a cooking demonstration on Thursday, from 1-2 p.m. Just added, a short drive (five miles) to the Grovewood Gallery to tour the Art Gallery and Car Museum, including an MG, of course. These are just a few of the activities being offered. We hope to see YOU in Asheville, NC in June!
