GT-37 NAMGAR Award Winners

GT-37 which was held in Dayton, Ohio, from July 9th to 13th had an aeronautical theme, as this was the birthplace of Wilbur and Orville Wright.  Many events reflected the aeroplane's history. Attendees were able to visit local car restoration businesses, the National Museum of the US Air Force and other museums. Tech sessions included presentations from Dayton Wire Wheel, D&D Classic Auto Restoration, Magnette Adventures and John Twist's rolling tech session.

The car show on the Wednesday was held in a truly beautiful setting in the Carillon Park, and showed off the 150 MGAs and Magnettes to perfection. Photos of the class winners are shown below. (A carillon is a musical bell tower). Click here for a complete list of all NAMGAR award winners.

Look for further reports on the event on the NAMGAR website in a few days, and in a forthcoming issue of MGA! magazine.

This was my first GT EVER. I was impressed with all of the cars and truly enjoyed the Carillon Park setting for the show.

I met so many members who had been to multiple GTs including Dave Gribler who told me he'd been to 24!

I had a wonderful time with the activities and the people! Many thanks to the Members of the Southwestern Ohio Centre MG Car Club for hosting.

As First Timers, Lorrie and I enjoyed the activities. But most of all, we enjoyed everyone there. We were touched by the warmth and genuine friendly nature of the members of NAMGAR. The First Timers' Reception gave us a good introduction to the 'family' of MGA enthusiasts and making us feel very special.
The host committee has been repeatedly thanked and congratulated for their superb performance putting on this extraodinary GT-37. Lorrie and I add our sincere thanks to the committee and to all of the volunteers that worked behind the scenes to make this event a huge success. We will see you in Homossasa Springs, Fl if you join our Florida Suncoast MG Car Club for the Jamboree in November. If not, see you in Asheville next year.

This was the first GT my wife Cheryl and I attended. We had a great time and are looking forward to GT 38 in Ashville NC. It's amazing that all you need to do is open the hood, excuse me bonnet, and within minutes there is a new tech session in progress. The park was a perfect setting for the show. The host club was very successful in planning full days if you wanted or you could spend time at the National Air Museum or any of the other attractions in and around Dayton.
Great job and we look forward to seeing everyone in Ashville in 2013.
